How Are You Raising the Money?
Since I get asked this question so often, I thought I'd devote a page to it. I'm paying for my gap year on my own and it's through a number of means...
Working. I've had a job since I was 15 and have always saved any money I didn't need to spend.
Save, save save! Any Birthday, Christmas and Chinese New Year money has only ever known seen the walls of my bank account....
Grants. I'd like to thank The Abbey School Reading Old Girls Association for awarding me a travel bursary and Waymade Healthcare for their incredible generosity in sponsoring me.
Fundraising. I co-organised a fundraising evening at school and also raised money by selling handmade decoden jewellery at an art expo in London.
I've got spreadsheets of my accounts and the year ahead is very tightly budgeted.... let's hope I stick to the plan!
